Berlin here I come

by Heidi on 24/05/2013

Yeah I’m off to Berlin and The Hive for the weekend. So it’ll be very blog and crafty. Can’t wait. First on the list workshop at the small yarn shop Knitknit. Stay tuned on instagram for updates and I’m posting pictures here when I’m back. Have a nice weekend!

Knitted wedding

Knitted wedding gown by Fashion Martina

When I got married four years ago I didn’t wear any knit, but if I was suppose to get married now I might splash totally out on knitted wedding things.

Perhaps with a lacy wedding bolero like Matrimonio bolero by hand made by fasOLA

20130507-162308.jpgLitt tøft tilbehør til en stolt strikker. Jeg er fan av prosjektbaggen i ull fra Finske Succaplokki, ville elske å gå rundt i t-skjorten og hvem liker ikke de søte maskemarkører?

I just love the fact that there is so much cool stuff for knitters. These are things I’ve found in Etsy, by the way a haven for knitters with accessories, yarn and more.
Links are on the pictures.

Brooklyn Tweed Wool People 5

WP5-Blog3WP5-Blog5 WP5-Blog41Brooklyn Tweed is ready with a new collection; Wool People 5. Filled with lace and some cables. I love the colours and even though lace is not really ‘me’ I adore the idea of lacy wool shawls in the springtime. PS It’s designer Jared Flood that founded Brooklyn Tweed – check out more of his designs here. Read more about Brooklyn Tweed here. All pictures borrowed from Brooklyn Tweed blog.

Knitting in the sun

05.07.2013

Nothing’s like a spot of weekday knitting in the sunshine. Especially now after a long cold winter. Although I must admit that I prefer knitting small things during the warm season, I thought that the start of my new cardigan could work just for now. (Actually I’m home with a sick kid but he was [...]

Knitting a short row shaped scarf

04.29.2013

I’m playing with short rows – the wrap and turn method where you pick the wrap up later to avoid holes. It’s great fun. See video here It’s not my first time with short rows, I have used it while shaping the back of knitted baby pants – to make more room for a diaper. [...]
